IT AND IT SERVICE MANAGEMENT (ITIL)

@-yet IT Factory - Overview

IT should be orientated towards business processes and business necessities and not, as previously, towards hardware and software products!!

Efficiency up, costs down, keeping risks under control - these are the objectives of the IT Factory.

The aim of the IT Factory is to orientate IT towards business processes and business necessities and not, as previously, towards hardware and software products.

The company's IT develops from the technical, often product loaded combination of hardware, software and services into a production discipline as a whole.

At center stage in modern IT architectures is the transparent production of IT services at minimum cost.

The definition of IT services that are to be produced follows exclusively the requirements of the business processes. Only with a definition of business requirements can the "IT Services Factory" work under optimum conditions.

Alongside the architectural/technical building blocks are practical and efficient operating processes of integral solution components oriented towards ITIL.

The correct definition of service requirements meets the requirements of business processes:

  • appropriate availability of IT services
  • fulfillment of security and data-protection requirements
  • safeguarding of corporate growth plans
  • tailor-made investments
  • optimum operating costs

Procedural Strategy

In combination with the @-yet business IT assessment, @-yet provides architectures, implementations and operating concepts for the implementation of the IT Factory in medium-sized to large companies.

The inital project is an "obligation" and on-going operation is optional.

Overall IT costs are decided

  • in the on-going upkeep and
  • in the continuous provision of IT services
    (i.e. in IT operation).

@-yet integrates architectural/technical concerns at an early stage with solutions to run the required IT services efficiently.

@-yet converts operations & service management into ITIL. The ITIL framework is adapted pragmatically and in accordance with requirements. In this conversion process @-yet relies on powerful tools produced by established manufacturers. Independence from manufacturers is always guaranteed as @-yet does not deal in product sales of any kind.

IT follows business

@-yet is always oriented towards the requirements of the client's business. At center stage are the IT-supported

  • value adding business and production process and
  • value adding data (R&D, client data, products etc.)

along with their requirements orientated towards necessary availabilities and security.
Deriving from this, the subsequent operating requirements with consideration to costs are reflected and integrated as early as the design stage.
